Inside Peek: Ad Team, Thirteenth Meeting

Quiz! The team had our first quiz over the case study.

Being on the Ad Team, it is important to always know the case study. The case study has all the information that the team needs to know about Mary Kay, their expectations, and more. Although, it is easy to slip away from the case study and go for what you think is a better options. That is one of the hardest things about advertising, you have to please the client.

After the quiz, the creative team displayed their concept designs as print advertisements. Each team had very different ideas about how the concept should be portrayed visually. As a group we voted on our favorite and discussed how to concept test the pieces. We talked about what order to show the works, the importance of having our target audience view them, and if we can fine tune the tones.

The other groups presented their ideas about the best options of media. Since we have such a small budget, media and placement is vital!

We need to make sure that we get the most bang for our buck.

We went through the different social media outlets and discussed how they could best be used to help our campaign. Social media is a great tool because it is cheap and can reach a wide range of people easily.

The next move for our team is getting into different groups. We split up into creative, research, and promotion and media teams. The creative team will be fine-tuning the designs and visuals for the campaign. Research will continue finding information backing up our ideas we will be presenting, and various other things. My group, the promotions and media group, will be working on possible events or promotions and media placements.
