MCTV Newscast: 4-15

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Cooper Beaumariage and Haley Renteria are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.

First, a Texas Tech professor who spent more than a month and a half on paid leave is back on the job following the conclusion of an investigation by campus officials. We’ll have the latest details on the situation involving Jairo Funez-Flores.

Also, the end of the semester is only a few weeks away, and several groups are hosting final events around campus.  MCTV’s Luke Johnson stopped by one recent activity in the CMLL Building that gave attendees a chance to make and taste a popular drink from half-a-world away.

Later, students thinking about their future beyond the end of finals have many different options to expand or continue their education. Cooper Beaumariage shows us how one well known college here on campus invited potential grad students to stop by, enjoy some freebies, and find out about all the program has to offer.

And a former Red Raider golfer is making waves on the professional level after finishing just a few strokes away from winning one of the biggest championships in the sport. MCTV’s Joshua Ermis has the details on that story along with the latest headlines from Texas Tech Athletics in Sports.

All this and more in today’s newscast!
