Global Techsans Welcome International Students

It can be hard for international students to feel at home in a new place. A new student organization is trying to make that transition easier.

Global Techsan pairs international and domestic students, encouraging friendships along the way. The president of Global Techsan, Berkleigh Gressett, said this is the first semester the program has been in place.

Both Gressett and the faculty advisor for the organization, Ashley Haseley, hope Global Techsan will continue to grow so that every international student at Texas Tech can be paired with a domestic student.

“Global Techsan is just a really good way to make a friend and to learn about a culture that’s different than what we have here in the United States,” Gressett said.
