Celestial spectators were captivated by the age old dance of shadows and light. The total solar eclipse witnessed across the United States on Monday April 8th was a celestial sight for the ages.

The next solar eclipse viewable from the contiguous U.S. won’t happen again until Aug. 23, 2044, according to NASA.
