MCTV Newscast: 11-6

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Cooper Beaumariage and Luke Johnson are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, Texas Tech Football is still working towards a bowl berth this year, with their latest chance to improve their record coming last Thursday at the Jones.  MCTV’s Mia Fletcher has a look back at scores and highlights from the game in Sports.  Also, with football off the weekend schedule, several groups around campus held special weekend events to fill the void.  We’ll show you how a couple campus fraternities came together to showcase a different side of Greek life.  Later, the spooky season came to an end last week, but not before one campus group hosted a final event to give students a creative outlet for their fearful inspirations.  Find out how students could create a special Halloween keepsake before the scariest night of the year.  And some Texas Tech students are putting their skills to the test and giving local patrons the chance to taste dishes that may one day grace the menus of the most famous restaurants in the world.  Find out how the Restaurant, Hotel & Institutional Management program is giving students and the campus community a taste of the real world.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
