MCTV Newscast: 10-30

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Gianelli Garcia and Epiphany Scott are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, an item on the November election ballot is receiving a lot of attention from Texas Tech in hopes of increasing future funding for university research.  We’ll have the details on Proposition 5 and the Texas University Fund.  Also, with Halloween only one day away, the campus is starting to feel a little frightening as Red Raiders gear up for the spookiest night of the year.  We’ll show you how one campus department pulled out all the stops along with some instruments for an evening of ghoulish entertainment.  Later, the cold front that came through the South Plains area this weekend dropped temperatures nearly 40 degrees in less than three days.  Weather specialist Elisabeth Herring has a look back at the changes from this weekend and what to expect for the week ahead in the MCTV forecast.  And the Texas Tech Soccer Team was back in action today after some much deserved time off following last week’s clinching of the Big 12 regular season championship.  MCTV’s Nathan Boles has the latest scores from the conference tournament along with a look around Tech Athletics in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
