MCTV Newscast: 2-5

In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Trinity Boudreaux and Reese Griffin are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, a Lubbock legend was remembered earlier this week nearly 70 years after a tragic accident cut his life short.  We’ll have the details on how the Hub City marks “The Day the Music Died” each year.  Also, it may only be a few weeks into the Spring semester, but some Red Raiders are already starting to think about their future beyond this school year.  Find out how students had opportunities to explore off-campus housing and make some important decisions about next steps in their academic careers.  And the Texas Tech Men’s Basketball team was back in action on the home court this week in hopes of defeating a ranked rival.  MCTV’s Aiden Wasson has highlights and the final score from that game along with details on a former Red Raider who is still making headlines ahead of this weekend’s Super Bowl in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
