MCTV Newscast: 1-29

In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Reese Griffin and Elena Khajishvili are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, Texas Tech faculty, staff, and students have returned to campus after an historic winter storm led to cancellations and delays for most of the week.  MCTV Chief Weather Specialist Elisabeth Herring has a look back at the effects of the storm and details on whether or not more winter conditions will be a concern this weekend.  Also, a group of Red Raiders recently showcased their skills on the national stage with the chance to bring home some significant hardware.  We’ll have the details and results from the Texas Tech Pom Squad’s recent run in the 2026 UDA National Dance Team Championships.  And Texas Tech Athletics schedule was altered but not cancelled, even as the recent winter weather moved across the country.  MCTV’s Logan Lacy has the details on a couple of teams who braved the conditions in hopes of putting another “W” in the win column in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
