In this Fall finale edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Theresa Brown and Reese Futch are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, the Texas Tech Football team is looking forward to an extended season as they prepare to take on a familiar conference foe in a game they’ve never played before. MCTV’s Nathan Boles has all the details on the next stop for the Red Raiders. Also, it’s holiday time in the 806, and lots of annual events are popping up around the Hub City. MCTV’s Jorge Cabrera stopped by one those traditions that invites the local community to step into a holiday wonderland and get into the Christmas spirit. Later, holiday gift givers around the country flooded retailers for Black Friday sales, but here in Lubbock, some savvy shoppers checked items off their list before the Thanksgiving break ever began. MCTV’s Avery Wolf has a special look at the Junior League of Lubbock’s 2025 Holiday Happening. And if you spent more time watching a parade than paying attention to the news over the break, you may have missed some of the latest political headlines rolling out of the nation’s capital. If that’s the case, Madilyn Coyne will get you up to speed in this week’s edition of MCTV’s Inside the Issues. All this and more in today’s newscast!
Thanks for joining us for the Fall semester run of the MCTV Weekday Update. Be sure to check back in the Spring for more news and information about the Tech community.
