In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Reese Futch and Christopher Van Antwerp are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, the countdown is on for one of the biggest games Texas Tech Football has prepared for in over a decade, and the whole campus is ready to cheer on the team to victory. MCTV’s Aiden Wasson has a look at one unique way fans are supporting the Red Raiders by pitching a tent, braving the weather, and hoping to be the first ones in the gate for Texas Tech versus BYU. Also, Halloween ended just under a week ago, but not before groups across campus hosted plenty of frightening festivities. MCTV’s Noah McCay and Jorge Cabrera have details on two of those events that allowed students to enjoy some cultural education and some friendly competition while getting into the spooky spirit. Later, the ballots have been counted and all 17 of Texas’ constitutional amendments passed, and President Donald Trump is back home after making some important agreements during a recent trip to the other side of the world. MCTV’s Madilyn Coyne will fill in the details on both of those stories in today’s edition of MCTV’s Inside the Issues. And even if you aren’t planning to go to the Jones this weekend, there’s still plenty of athletic action taking place between now and the end of the weekend. MCTV’s Logan Lacy has a rundown of the upcoming calendar of events along with a final preview of Tech Football’s top-10 matchup in Sports. All this and more in today’s newscast!
