MCTV Newscast: 10-27

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Yemi Akinyeye and Cassandra Raucheisen are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, Family Weekend has come to an end, but not before Red Raiders and their loved ones had plenty of opportunities to enjoy all the campus has to offer.  We’ll have details on the weekend’s events calendar, and a look at several options that gave families a chance to reconnect in some fun and unique ways.  Also, a busy weekend schedule also included the chance to cheer on several Red Raider teams to victory on their home turf.  MCTV’s Aiden Wasson has a wrap up of Tech Athletics’ latest matchups in Sports.  And it’s been 100 years since the doors opened to the Texas Tech campus, welcoming students to an oasis of learning on the South Plains.  But even the earliest Red Raiders could do more than just attend class.  We’ll let you know about one student group that gave student journalists a chance to hone their skills, and how the current staff is celebrating their accomplishments a century later.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
