MCTV Newscast: 9-15

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Yemi Aninyeye and Elene Khajishvili are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, the beginning of another school year also includes some big announcements concerning Texas Tech and the university system.  We’ll let you know how many new students are continuing their education as Red Raiders and the name of the next leader to take on the role of chancellor.  Also, academic calendars aren’t the only thing filling students’ schedules as they head into the Fall.  Many Red Raiders are also finding fun ways to spend their time outside of class.  Find out how one local group recently offered the Texas Tech and Lubbock communities a three day option to check out some local musicians and enjoy new music.  And Red Raider Football has lived up to the hype so far as the team continues into the 2025 season, but could they maintain their energy as they finished out non-conference play?  MCTV’s Nathan Boles has highlights from the Jones along with an update from Fort Walker in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
