MCTV Newscast: 9-18

In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Elisabeth Herring and Allie Scott are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, the Texas Tech campus has been in the national headlines this week after an incident at the SUB led to a viral video.  Find out how the situation ended in the expulsion of a student and stirred up concerns about free speech for the Texas Legislature.  Also, it’s Service Week on campus, and several campus groups are doing what they can to help out the Tech and Lubbock communities.  We’ll have a look at one activity that helped spread positivity to Red Raiders, and we’ll let you know about a couple last opportunities to give back to the community before the week comes to an end.  And if you’ve been a little bored by the Texas Tech Football Team’s blowout of their opponents during non-conference play, this week may bring a bit more excitement to your sports watching routine.  We have a look at the Red Raiders’ upcoming opponent and why this could be one of the toughest Big 12 matchups all season in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
