A bell chime jingles as the glass door of the Stay True Tattoo shop opens, and a melody of rhythmic buzzing from an ink gun and pulsing music from a tablet welcome visitors.
Clients arrive to request a design or decorate a limb. Tattoo specialists wash their hands, prepare various colors of ink and don sanitary gloves.
“I knew I wanted to be a tattoo artist ever since I was, like, 14,” Danielle Bailey, an artist for the tattoo shop said. “That’s all I wanted to do.”
