Lubbock police announce arrests in connection to weekend double homicide

Lubbock Police announced three arrests were made in a double homicide case that occurred on April 4. Mia Altamirano, 17, and Michael Bean, 20, were pronounced dead at the scene and two other victims sustained life-threatening injuries. Major Crash Unit investigating a pedestrian crash

Major Crash Unit investigators with the Lubbock Police Department responded to a crash in the 4500 block of East Slaton Highway just before 2 a.m. on April 5. The vehicle traveling eastbound collided with a pedestrian, 68-year-old Dorothy Nash, who was pronounced deceased at the scene, stated Lubbock police. This case remains under investigation.
