In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Angelina Galvan and Ryan Heller are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, the end of the school year is near for Texas Tech students, and that means some changes around campus. We’ll take you to two ceremonies that literally changed the faces of some of the university’s most famous representatives. Also, finding something to do in Lubbock can be a daunting task at times, but there are a lot of attractions that students and local residents may not think of when looking for options. MCTV’s Emily Effren shows us how one on-campus venue is hoping to change that with some fun options the whole family can enjoy. Later, art and culture in Lubbock are on the rise thanks in large part to one monthly event that has transformed parts of downtown Lubbock. MCTV’s Gina Rangnow has an inside look at the First Friday Art Trail. And the fastest man in the world may have set a record in Waco, but his home is right here on the Tech campus. MCTV’s Paige Sachse will have a look at Divine Oduduru’s amazing outing at the Michael Johnson Invitational in Sports. All this and more in today’s newscast!
