In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Aundrea Jackson and Jay McCully are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, the Tech campus finished up Diversity Week last Friday, and some students walked away with a special keepsake to remember the celebration. MCTV’s Mazden Bindel has a look at one of last week’s most colorful activities. Also, Diversity Week included dozens of options for students to learn more about the many differences that make up the Tech community. But there were also a few events that encouraged attendees to go the extra mile in helping students, faculty and staff embrace diversity. MCTV’s Emily Effren attended one event that trained students on how to not just be a bystander but a “warrior” on campus. Later, it’s been a very nice week of weather, and temperatures even made it up to the 80’s today. But will the Spring conditions finally stick around the South Plains as we finish the week? Madison Hartin has a look at what to expect over the weekend in today’s MCTV forecast. And the Red Raider basketball team is on the cusp of repeating history tonight in Anaheim, California. MCTV’s Brogan Stewart has a preview of Tech vs Michigan along with a look around Tech Athletics in Sports. All this and more in today’s forecast!
