MCTV Newscast: 3-25

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Uvie Bikomo and Oscar Vielma are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, after a successful first weekend in the NCAA Tournament, the Texas Tech Men’s Basketball Team is heading out west for the Sweet 16. We’ll have a wrap-up of this past weekend’s games and a preview of what’s next for the Red Raiders. Also, last week’s Diversity Week celebration gave many campus groups a chance to bring awareness to the unique differences found in the Tech community. But one popular event brought an extra layer of entertainment to the activities. MCTV’s Rebecca Hinestroza has a look back at last week’s TTU Drag Show. Later, a new two-wheeled form of transportation has changed the way many students get around Texas Tech and the surrounding area. MCTV’s Emily Effren has a look at the university’s scooter obsession and the positive and negatives that come with it. And after nearly 3 years of planning and construction, a new entertainment complex is finally opening in the Hub City. MCTV’s Jay McCully has an exclusive look at Lubbock’s Adventure Park.
