MCTV Newscast: 2-18

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Uvie Bikomo and Oscar Vielma are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, an annual event took over the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center this weekend, giving attendees the chance to indulge in some breakfast favorites. MCTV’s Jay McCully has a special look at this tasty tradition. Also, last Thursday was Valentine’s Day here on campus, and many students enjoyed the yearly celebration with a loved one. But even if you didn’t have your own Valentine, one student group make sure everyone felt wanted during a unique holiday event. Later, the South Plains has been on a roller coaster of weather conditions, with high winds, freezing temperatures, and near record breaking highs all in a matter of days. So what can we expect this week? MCTV’s Madison Hartin has all the details in Weather. And a busy weekend ended up in a a series of wins for Texas Tech’s baseball and basketball teams.
