MCTV Newscast: 11-17

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Julieta Ortiz and Allie Scott are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, a university leader who has been part of the Texas Tech System for more than 15 years is ending his tenure and preparing to move into a new role.  We’ll have details on the transition as Dr. Tedd L. Michell wraps up his time as Texas Tech chancellor.  Also, it may not feel a lot like Christmas outside, but the holiday season is underway here in Lubbock.  MCTV’s Aiden Wasson stopped by a recent event that helped shoppers looking for the perfect gift get into the spirit a little early.  Also, the Texas Tech Football team is continuing to make history as they near the end of the 2025 season, but another group of Red Raiders is also hoping to make their mark in the record book as they begin another run towards a national title.  MCTV’s Medhin Buriani has a wrap up of the stories that made headlines over the weekend for Texas Tech Athletics in Sports.  And the end of the semester is less than four weeks away, and that means that final exams and projects are just around the corner.  If you’re starting to stress about getting everything finished, MCTV’s Noah McCay has a look at one recent event that offered a way to prepare for the “Countdown to Finals”.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
