MCTV Newscast: 5-1

In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Elene Khajishvili and Maresa Sisk are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, April has ended and so has a month-long focus on an important issue that affects much more than just college students.  MCTV’s Todd Eldridge has details on how one recent activity kicked off the last week of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  Also, the current administration in Washington D.C. is being evaluated this week after passing one of the first milestones for a U.S. President.  Kiley Phillips has a look back at President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office in MCTV’s Inside the Issues.  Later, the skies aren’t looking too ominous this afternoon, but the threat of severe weather has been a constant every day for more than a week.  Weather Specialist Kennedy Schmidt will let you know if there’s anything to look out for between now and the end of the weekend in the MCTV forecast.  And the next round of action on the diamond starts tonight for Texas Tech Softball, but they aren’t the only team in action this weekend.  MCTV’s Allie Scott has the latest highlights from Texas Tech Athletics and details on how you can help cheer on one Red Raider team in person in their quest for a national title in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
