MCTV Newscast: 4-24

In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Madilyn Coyne and Elene Khajishvili are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, an ongoing health emergency here in Texas is finally slowing down as the amount of infections drops each week.  We’ll have the latest numbers and the details you need to know about the West Texas measles outbreak.  Also, the final days of the Spring semester are here, and that also means that there’s only a short period of time left for many end of the year events.  MCTV’s Todd Eldridge has details on one date on the calendar reserved for a ceremony that brings some big changes to the TTU Spirit Program each Spring.  Later, the food industry is starting to panic after the announcement by a member of the Trump administration, and the death of one of the world’s best known religious leaders has taken over the headlines.  Kiley Phillips has those stories and more in today’s edition of MCTV’s Inside the Issues.  And Texas Tech Women’s Tennis brought home some Big 12 hardware after a big win last weekend, but another Red Raider sport could do the same before Sunday.  MCTV’s Allie Scott has the highlights and scores from the tennis court and diamonds and a preview of another big weekend for Texas Tech Athletics in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
