MCTV Newscast: 11-7

In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Madilyn Coyne and Maresa Sisk are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  The November election finished up on Tuesday, but the nation is still talking about the final results.  We’ll have details on a couple of state and local results, and Kiley Phillips has a full wrap up of the presidential election in this week’s edition of MCTV’s Inside the Issues.  Also, the diversity found here at Texas Tech helps brings in some unique events to showcase cultures from around the world to the campus community.  Find out how some university groups offered several options this week that used music, dance and games to educate attendees about two cultures on opposite sides of the globe.  Later, last week’s Halloween holiday featured a variety of options for students to get into the spooky spirit, but not all of those involved tricks or treats.  MCTV’s Kaitlyn Rudolph stopped by the Rec Center on the most frightening night of the year to see how some Red Raiders braved an awful obstacle course in an annual creepy competition.  And the United Supermarkets Arena has been busy every night this week as two teams made their fall debut in front of thousands of Red Raider fans.  MCTV’s Todd Eldridge has a look at the debut of Red and Lady Raider Basketball, along with details on the rest of Tech Athletics’ upcoming schedule in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
