In this Fall finale edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Elene Khajishvili and Kiley Phillips are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, a long running campus tradition got yet another upgrade this year as the Texas Tech Centennial Celebration officially came to a close. We’ll have the sights, sounds, and full rundown of a packed lineup of entertainment from the 65th edition of the Carol of Lights. Also, it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas as holiday events kick into full gear around town. Find out how a couple of groups gave local residents the chance to enjoy some seasonal activities both on and off campus. Later, the West Texas wind was in full effect over the weekend, with gusts kicking up dust and creating havoc on outdoor activities. MCTV Weather Specialist Elisabeth Herring has details from this past weekend’s windy weather and a look at what’s to come during the last full week of the fall semester. And the Texas Tech Football Team officially has its sights set on the post season after receiving a bowl invite yesterday afternoon. We’ll let you know where the Red Raiders will be headed later this month, along with a recap of the latest men’s and women’s basketball action in Sports. All this and more in today’s newscast!
