In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Grace Beene and Elene Khajishvili are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, one of the most anticipated days in the history of Texas Tech has come and gone as the university officially celebrated 100 years of existence. We’ll have a look at the various festivities around campus held in conjunction with Founders Day 2023. Also, some talented Red Raiders took the stage and put on a show in hopes of scoring the top prize in an annual event at the Allen Theatre. Find out who won this year’s Red Raider Showcase. Later, the Texas Tech Men’s Basketball Team had home court and hoped to use it to their advantage as they took on another ranked team in conference play. MCTV’s Natalie DuPre will have a look back at this past weekend’s matchup with Kansas State and more in Sports. And Texas Tech Athletics is well known for the many NCAA Division I activities athletes compete in throughout the year, but there’s other sports that some members of the university community may not even know exist.
