MCTV Newscast: 4-28

In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Noah Crayton and MaKayla Glenn are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, Sexual Assault Awareness Month officially ends this weekend, but not before one campus group gave victims and their supporters the chance to come out to raise awareness and have their voice heard in a safe environment.  We’ll have a wrap up of the 2022 edition of “Take Back the Night”.  Also, Tech’s Women’s and Gender Studies Program recently held one of their biggest events in-person for the first time in two year’s.  MCTV’s Grace Beene has a special look at an annual conference that helps promote the history and impact of women on Texas Tech and beyond.  And Texas Tech’s Baseball and Softball teams may be back on the diamond this weekend, but another team whose season ended over a month ago is taking up headlines after a player and coach both made big announcements this week.  MCTV’s Nathan Boles has the details on those stories along with a look around Tech Athletics in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
