In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Peri Jacobs and Nick Tauschek are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, the holiday season is underway, and Texas Tech students are hitting the road to spend time with their families for Thanksgiving. But, before leaving town, MCTV’s Patricia Perry caught up with several Red Raiders to see how they plan to enjoy their time off. Also, Turkey Day may be on everyone’s minds this week, with several campus groups offering options to enjoy some traditional Thanksgiving flavors. But, as MCTV’s Angelyna Gonzales show us, one university group also held a special event that let attendees enjoy more than just the tradition American holiday by showcasing some international festive flair. And the Fall semester is filled with sporting events, such as football, volleyball and even the beginning of basketball season. But there’s one other team of Red Raiders that many people in the Tech community may not even know exists. MCTV’s Hattie Robb has a special look at Texas Tech Ice Hockey.
