In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Kamryn Mendoza and Jayden Santos are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, it’s been a big week for Texas Tech Football as Joey McGuire was named and then officially introduced as the next leader of the Red Raiders. MCTV’s Alejandra Salazar has a first look at the 17th head football coach in university history. Also, with finals just around the corner, students are looking for any opportunity to escape end of the semester stress. Luckily, MCTV’s Jama Williamson found one campus group who provided a fun and free options for student to be intentional while creating a special keepsake. And the spooky season may officially be over, but not before Texas Tech’s School of Music got in on the supernatural fun – but this time for a holiday more well known south of the border. MCTV’s Angelyna Gonzales headed out to the Hemmle Recital Hall to catch some of the university’s most talented musicians in the annual Dia de los Muertos concert. All this and more in today’s newscast!
