In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Branden Vasquez and Madison Vidales are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, with the beginning of a new school year at Texas Tech comes a familiar announcement: another record Fall enrollment. We’ll have a look at the numbers and let you know about two groups of students making history here on campus. Also, with the university back to fully in-person instruction, the classrooms aren’t the only parts of campus filling up with students. Find out how several groups hosted events this past week with options to find future employment or recycle unused office items. And COVID-19 changed life around Texas Tech for more than a year and a half, but campus leaders have worked hard to try and return to normalcy with the start of the new semester. But how “normal” does the university feel this year? MCTV’s Patricia Perry headed out on campus to get some thoughts on the comparison of college life now versus last year.
