MCTV Newscast: 4-19

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Kamryn Mendoza and Lesslie Rosas are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, a controversial ballot proposition is stirring up emotions for many Lubbock residents and could setup a precedent for larger cities in Texas and around the nation.  We’ll have the details on Lubbock’s “Sanctuary City for the Unborn” ordinance and let you know how you can make your voice heard.  Also, the SUB West Plaza played host to several student groups last week, giving students the chance to learn more about their organizations.  Find out about how the campus’ student radio station held a unique 24-hour broadcast marathon and which student organization was available to answer questions about their beliefs.  And the Texas Tech Softball team returned home victorious after securing their first conference series win this season.  We’ll have highlights and scores from that series and more in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
