MCTV Newscast: 4-15

In this Thursday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Peri Jacobs and Nick Tauschek are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, concerns regarding one of the United States’ three primary COVID-19 vaccines has lead to many distribution sites putting a “pause” on it’s use.  We’ll have the latest details on the vaccine in question and how it’s affecting Texas Tech’s on-campus efforts.  Also, it’s been more than a year since the coronavirus pandemic first affected the campus, but some students still spend more time in their dorm room than anywhere else.  MCTV’s Matthew Zimmerman shows us how one campus organization recently tried to change that by offering some outdoor fun.  And the local business community includes more than a dozen tattoo shops, but figuring out which artist is the right fit can be a difficult decision.  Luckily, one annual event gives local residents the chance to explore their options and possibly even get some ink in the process.  MCTV’s Anakin Rayos has a special look at the third annual Tornado Alley Tattoo Expo.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
