MCTV Newscast: 2-1

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Patricia Perry and Krizia Williams are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, COVID-19 is still causing changes on campus even though the pandemic has been effecting Lubbock for almost a year.  MCTV’S Patricia Perry has the details and reaction to some schedule adjustments Texas Tech is making to help keep students safe.  Also, the month of February is Black History Month, but one of the most famous African Americans was celebrated nationwide before the end of January.  MCTV’s Krizia Williams has the details on how the Tech community commemorated the annual observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Later, after more than a month away from Lubbock, many students have been looking for ways to socialize with friends, but unfortunately COVID-19 has kept most activities in the virtual world. MCTV’s Anakin Rayos takes us to one recent event where students had some face-to-face fun while maintaining coronavirus guidelines.  And the Texas Tech Red Raider and Lady Raider Basketball teams have been rolling through their seasons, with plenty of action continuing into the new semester.  MCTV’S Austin Seat has the latest highlights and scores, as well as a look at what’s next for both teams in Sports.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
