MCTV Newscast: 11-23

In this Fall finale edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Will Lanigan and Krizia Williams are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, with COVID-19 on the rise in Lubbock and on the Tech campus, university health officials are working hard to avoid a “twin-demic” by offering a preventative option for students.  MCTV’s Karmen Brown has the details on Student Health Services’ free flu shot clinic.  Also, a Tech holiday tradition more than 60 years in the making is going to look a lot different this year as the coronavirus pandemic limits in-person events.  MCTV’s Krizia Williams finds out what you need to know about the 62nd Annual Carol of Lights ceremony.  And even though in-person activities have come to a stand-still here at the end of the Fall semester, a couple of student groups are still offering opportunities for students that aren’t entirely virtual.  MCTV’s Austin Seat and Michael Lowery take a look inside two organizations open to all Red Raiders that are coming up with options for in-person interaction.  All this and more in today’s newscast!

Thanks for joining us for the Fall semester run of the MCTV Weekday Update.  Be sure to check back in the Spring for more news and information about the Tech community.
