Senior electronic media and communications major Amanda Sanders used to get on Tinder for entertainment. Obviously, she had a few good laughs.
Claiming to help users find friends, relationships or anything in between, Tinder has made more than 9 billion matches, according to its website.
Based on a user’s self-declared gender, age, location and partner preferences, Tinder identifies potential matches. If a user is interested in a match, he or she swipes right. If the match is also interested, the pair can begin chatting. If a match is not appealing, users simply swipe left.
