Did you miss out on the February 1st scholarship deadline for Texas Tech scholarships? Maybe you made the deadline and successfully applied for those, but you still want more money? What are you, greedy?
Believe it or not, the Texas Tech College of Media and Communication hosts a nifty scholarship opportunity database filled to the brim with scholarship applications. And potential money. Some of the scholarships in the listings are outdated, but that’s easily fixed by searching (command-f) for “2013” within the page. The Charles and Lucille King Family Foundation – multiple scholarships available
Deadline: March 15, 2013 Eligibility: Emphasis on television and film.
Alliance for Women in Media – one scholarship available
Deadline: March 17, 2013 Eligibility: Male or female communication student with at least 75 completed hours.
National Association of Hispanic Journalists – multiple scholarships available
Deadline: April 15, 2013 Eligibility: NAHJ members with a desire to pursue a career in journalism.
National Press Photographers Foundation – multiple scholarships available
Deadline: April 15, 2013 Eligibility: Emphasis on photojournalism.
Texas Association of Broadcasters – multiple scholarships available
Deadline: April 15, 2013 Eligibility: TAB members only; emphasis on broadcasting.
