MCTV Newscast: 10-19

In this Monday edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Natalee Gomez and Will Lanigan are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, some new details regarding COVID-19 on campus were revealed during the most recent meeting of the Texas Tech Board of Regents last week.  We’ll let you know about the university’s only coronavirus-related fatality and how the disease has effected the student population.  Also, after more than 50 years, a well-known historic landmark on campus is now a showcase facility for the university.  Find out all the details on the university’s recently completed renovation of the Dairy Barn.  Later, it’s Homecoming Week on the Tech campus, but as with all things 2020, COVID-19 has taken it’s toll.  MCTV’s Krizia Williams has the details on how the university is handling this year’s festivities along with reaction from student and alumni in the wake of this year’s changes.  And Halloween is just under two weeks away, and there’s several opportunities to get into the spirit right here in the Hub City.  Find out how one frightful local attraction may just feature one of the largest haunted facilities in the country.  All this and more in today’s newscast!
