MCTV Newscast: 5-6

In this Spring semester finale edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Aundrea Jackson and Jay McCully are in studio for the latest news, information and events happening around campus. First, parking is already at a premium for students on the Tech campus, but the number of spots is dwindling again with new construction in the Commuter West lot. Jay had a chance to stop by Transportation and Parking services, and he has a look at how the university is trying to help ease the pressure associated with the university’s growth. Also, with the semester nearing an end, finals are just around the corner. We’ll show you how two campus groups held events that encouraged students to embrace academic integrity and show off their artistic abilities. Later, the South Plains experienced some wild weather over the weekend, with wind, hail, and even a tornado touching down. MCTV Madison Hartin has a wrap up of yesterday’s severe conditions along with a preview of the coming week in the MCTV forecast. And the Texas Tech Baseball and Softball Teams had a couple of productive weekend series, with one team even getting closer to another Big 12 regular season championship. MCTV’s Paige Sachse has a look at highlights and scores from both series, along with a look around Tech Athletics in Sports. All this and more in today’s newscast!

Thanks for joining us for the Spring semester run of the MCTV Weekday Update.  Be sure to check back in early September for more news and information about the Tech community.
