New York’s DŌ, Cookie Dough Confections has taken Facebook by storm. The viral video circulated on social media and featured flavors such as brownie batter, signature chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle.

It is easy to see why everyone wants to visit this “DŌlicious” place, and Lubbock was not far behind on the trend.

The Ruffled Cup started selling edible cookie dough three weeks ago and it has already become a Lubbock favorite.

The Ruffled Cup has more 150 cupcake flavors on their menu, including banana Nutella, Cherry Coke, kitchen sink and pineapple upside down.

They offer many cookie dough flavors as well, so customers are sure to fall in love with the doughy goodness. The flavors they offer are “the classic” chocolate chip, M&M, cookies and dream, birthday bash, peanut butter blast, Fluffernutter, and red velvet.

So what makes this cookie dough edible?

According to Ruffled Cup employee Ashley Martin, the cookie dough is made with pasteurized eggs and heated flour. Therefore, customers will not have to worry about salmonella when eating this delectable treat.

Although The Ruffled Cup has always been known for its cupcakes, the cookie dough is becoming quite a hit.

“For a little bit I think we sold more cookie dough than we did cupcakes,” Martin explained.

While bowls of cookie dough may not be the perfect dessert for everyone, those who try it seem to really like it.

“After trying it, I definitely think I will get it again. It was very good!” Ruffled Cup customer Brittany Neumann said.
