Humans of: J&B Coffee Co.

This week we take our “Humans of” series to J&B Coffee Co., a local establishment near and dear to the Lubbock community. The natural sunlight, chill environment and diverse menu makes J&B the ideal place to study, catch up with friends or host an event.

“Bob Wood, Double T class of 1961. When I was out there, Marsha Sharp had a fit to see my ring. It’s true, I had to take it off and show her. It was before they won their title, of course.”

“I like the atmosphere. I live right behind J&B so it’s easy, it’s accessible, I can walk here. The community of people are so kind and welcoming of me. I’m really passionate about the medical field, I usually come here to study for one of my pre-health classes.”

“I just like this place because it’s got a warm environment and I get to see a lot of people that I don’t usually see around campus. I’m an industrial engineering major, I’ve always wanted to be an engineer. I chose industrial because I want to get into the manufacturing industry.”

“J&B has become something like a community with how many people I’ve met and how many people I’ve learned about here. So, it’s just a homey feeling whenever I come.”
