School Spirit Shines During Season Opener

Waking up early to get to the tailgate you have thought about all week. Making the pilgrimage to Chimy’s to get a mid-day margarita before the line gets crazy. Slipping on the perfect boots to match the red and black outfit that took way too long to pick out. These are a couple of things that make game day in Raiderland epic.

Aside from the countless margaritas, tailgates and fashion, team spirit is what motivates fans to get to the stadium earlier than everyone else to get a perfect spot behind the goal post. That same spirit fuels fans to stand and scream the whole entire game no matter the weather conditions. And like the mailman, Red Raider Nation delivers rain, sleet or snow!

After four quarters of tortilla tosses and touchdowns, the Red Raiders were victorious over the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks, 69-17.
