Humans of New York is a simple concept. Photographer Brandon Stanton takes a picture of someone, usually on the streets of New York City. He then interviews them to get insight into their unique, complex lives. It has attracted a huge following on social media, with almost 18 million likes on Facebook. That is where the idea for this series comes from, which tells stories of the humans of Lubbock.
The Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market is held every Saturday through Oct. 15 on Buddy Holly Avenue. The market offers an opportunity for consumers to meet the people who sell homegrown and homemade goods.
