SGA Voting in Full Swing

Nothing brings Texas Tech students to the Student Union Building like this one word: puppies.

Members of both Student Government Association candidate blocs—OneTech 2016 and Strive—brought dogs as they campaigned across campus on Tuesday, encouraging students to vote.

Strive had many representatives, accompanied by one dog, handing out fliers with the bloc candidates’ names. The bloc’s executive and Senate candidates campaigned by focusing on their respective colleges.

OneTech 2016 was represented on this election day by its executive candidates, along with campaign dog Moose and a litter of Australian Shepherd puppies in the free-speech area. This bloc’s Senate candidates were also campaigning at their specific colleges.

To learn more about each campaign, check out our 2016 SGA election coverage. Voting closes at 5 p.m. tomorrow, March 9.
