Fresh Fashion Finds Home in Lubbock

Broadway boasts many of Lubbock’s landmarks. There is Chimy’s, the cerveceria with a following. There is Red Raider Outfitter, where you can get all of your Texas Tech gear.

And then, there is one of Lubbock’s original boutiques.

The trendy outfits displayed on T.C. Elli’s mannequins prompt many Texas Tech women to go in and buy. The boutique has become a go-to for women looking for the perfect outfit for any occasion, from brunch to late nights out.

tc_ellisTahnee Elliott has owned and managed the store since it opened 16 years ago. She first displayed clothes in an art gallery her mother owned in the Depot District. Two months later, the clothing business took off. A Tech student came in, asking Elliott to talk to her sorority about the business. From that point on, she knew she needed to relocate near campus.

A year and a half later, she moved to the store’s current location on Broadway. The store was renovated and expanded last year, making it easier for customers to move around the always busy place.
