University Career Center: Resources

Over the past few weeks, the Internet has been flooded with stories and GIFs of the panic graduation brings to senior-year college students. Panic sets in, and we can’t help but roll into the fetal position. Well, it’s time to do something about it. As students, we don’t take courses to teach us the importance of resumé structure or how to properly write a cover letter. What we fail to realize is each university or college has resources that can help you land your dream job.

The Texas Tech University Career Center should be one of the most used resources on campus, yet according to some research done by Texas Tech Institutional Research, only 42% of students sought out career advising from the career center. The University Career Center has staff members who are more than willing to guide you through a time of stress and panic.

So, stop what you are doing and check out the resources they have to offer.
