MCTV Newscast: 4-29

In this end of the semester edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Laura Duclos and Lauren Locke bring you an information-packed show to end the school year.  First, reporter Alyssa Herzog takes a look at how a current alcohol trend on campus could lead to health issues later in life.  Tech has seen some high-profile guests on campus this year, and last week was no exception.  Reporter Rachel Blevins has all the details on which VIP made a stop at the College of Media & Communication.  Also, Lauren Locke headed over to the SUB on Earth Day to find out how Tech students are taking what was once trash and turning it into art.  If you ever wondered what happens with all those blue bins on campus, reporter Victoria Landers has an in-depth look at Tech’s Recycling Center.  Later, reporter Kahley Paulsel ran by the SUB for a Tech Activities Board event that allowed students a chance to be creative while helping out a good cause.  In the MCTV weathercast, Carly Smith has an update on what’s in store for the weekend ahead.  And in sports, Alyssa Herzog has all the latest scores and highlights from Tech athletics.  All this and MUCH MORE in this week’s newscast.

Thanks for joining us for the Spring semester run of the MCTV Weekday Update.  Be sure to check back in early September for more news and information about the Tech community.
