MCTV Newscast: 4-22

In this week’s edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Alana Kiker and Lilian Quiroz have the latest news, information and events happening around campus.  First, April has brought some interesting weather to the South Plains, and the next couple days look to continue that trend.  Weather specialist Carly Smith is in with all the details.  In a follow-up report, Laura Duclos headed over to the College of Architecture where one of Lubbock’s most famous artists was honored through a special ceremony.  Also, reporter Lauren Locke stopped by the Free Speech Area last week to find out how one group is using pancakes to help change lives.  The Tech Activities Board is known for showcasing student talent, but one event gives the best of the best a chance to show their stuff.  Reporter Rachel Blevins has a look at this year’s Red Raider Showcase.  Later, reporter Kaitlyn Kravik took a spin around campus to see how one state department is trying to save lives.  And in MCTV sports, Everett Corder has all the latest scores and highlights from Tech athletics.  All this and MUCH MORE in this week’s newscast.
