MCTV Newscast: 4-15

In this week’s edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Casey Kopp and Emily Hamilton are in studio with the latest news, information and events happening on and around campus.  First, campus carry is a hot topic in the Tech community.  Reporter Alana Kiker headed out to see what students really think about the issue.  Reporter Laura Duclos stopped by the Allen Theatre last week to see a group of home-grown musicians who found fame far beyond the Lubbock lights.  Tech students who live in the Stangel-Murdough residence hall are living it up with some new dining hall options.  Reporter Jasmine Bradford has a closer look at the changes.  Also, reporter Kortni Robinson headed out to Greek Circle where an annual event is helping bring sorority sisters closer together while having some fun.  The Department of Theatre and Dance often gives their students a chance to shine, and this week is no exception.  Reporter Kahley Paulsel has a sneak peak of the Raider Red’s Awesome Dance Spectacular.  Reporter Justin Gonzales ran over to the Engineering Key to find out how students in the Whitacre College of Engineering are getting a more cultured experience when it comes to their education.  In the MCTV weathercast, Carly Smith has an update on some possible changes in the forecast.  And in sports, RaShayla Daniels has all the latest scores and highlights from Tech athletics.  All this and MUCH MORE in this week’s newscast.
