MCTV Newscast: 3-25

In this week’s edition of the MCTV Weekday Update, anchors Tye Basquez and Jenna Hay have the latest information, news and events going on around campus.  First, reporter Janet Moreno has a look at an issue facing Tech students that is leaving many graduates with a lot more than just a diploma.  Flashing lights, sirens and tickets may be the first things you think of when you hear the letters T-T P-D, but there’s much more to this campus law enforcement unit.  Reporter Alyssa Herzog takes an in-depth look at the Texas Tech Police Department.  Also, reporter Kaitlyn Kravik met up with a few students who are using their free time to help bring a smiles to children across Lubbock.  Later, reporter Laura Duclos stopped by the small town of Sweetwater, TX to find out about a recent event that left visitors a little “rattled”.  The College of Media & Communication is spreading the word about their academic offerings far and wide with a new ride.  Justin Gonzales has a sneak peak at the Masked Communicator.  In the MCTV weathercast, Carly Smith has a look at your weekly forecast.  And in sports, Alyssa Herzog has all the latest scores and highlights from Tech athletics.  All this and MUCH MORE in this week’s newscast!
