Here are the state and county election results that affect Texas Tech students. Winners’ names are in bold, and only the two candidates with the most votes are featured. The percentage numbers only represent Lubbock county, and were provided by the Lubbock County Election office.

Governor: 

Greg Abbott, R-Texas 76.38%

Wendy Davis, D-Texas 22.10%

Lieutenant Governor: 

Dan Patrick, R-Texas 75.25%

Leticia Van de Putte, D-Texas 21.65%

Sam Houston, D-Texas 22.90%

United States Senator: 

John Cornyn, R-Texas 76.91%
