The police report states Hooker is accused of killing Wallace, a Lubbock attorney, on the morning of July 23. According to the police report, officers responded to a 911 call at 1402 Texas Avenue at 2:35 in the morning.

The police report states that officer Adam Freeman, a detective for the Lubbock Police Department, was sent to the law office of Shackelford, Hawkins and Searcy, where the 61-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hooker was arrested and booked in the county jail a few hours later, according to the police report.

A worker at the law office said one of the two men involved in the crime lived in the office building while the other man involved would stop by the office to “hang out” and occasionally stayed a night or two.

The employee, Darpan, would not give any other information and refused to give his full name. Darpan said the office could not do an interview due to the ongoing investigation and cooperation with the police.
